Our company history
Julius Sinnack laid the foundation for our current family business in 1899. Since then, we have grown steadily, mastered a wide variety of challenges and established ourselves as a competitive food manufacturer in the market.
But our history does not only extend into the past. As a long-standing family business, we look to the future with confidence and are already looking forward to exciting future endeavours.

2020
Organic products are added to our portfolio.

2014
Lena Sinnack, daughter of the owner, joins the company.

2005-2011
New products conquer the market: toast rolls, stone-baked rolls, etc.

2002
Sinnack becomes the first large-scale bakery in Germany to be IFS-certified - Higher Level.

1995
A major fire destroys the headquarters in Bocholt. Within three months, production could be resumed at the new location in the Bocholt industrial park.

1994
Construction of a second plant in Droßdorf (Saxony-Anhalt).

1988
Julius Peter Sinnack develops the now well-known herb butter baguette.

1978
The first ready-to-bake baguettes for German food retail are introduced to the market. In 1983, bread production is discontinued and the company concentrates entirely on the production of par-baked goods.

1970
Julius Peter Sinnack takes over management at the age of 19, after his father Julius Hermann Sinnack unexpectedly passes away in 1968.

1942
Founder Julius Sinnack dies. His wife Anna Sinnack runs the business until their son Julius Hermann Sinnack returns from the war in 1945.

1907
The expanding company is entered in the commercial register as Bocholter Brotfabrik.

1899
Master baker Julius Sinnack founds the first bakehouse in Bocholt.
