The reporting organisation shall disclose the following information: a. Total weight or volume of the materials used for manufacturing and packaging the most important products and services of the organisation during the reporting period, broken down by: I. non-renewable materials used; II. renewable materials used. Bocholt and Drossdorf works: a) Diesel and petrol fuel consumption for company cars: 967,766 megajoules, of which 762,269 megajoules was diesel consumption and 205,497 megajoules was petrol consumption b) No fuels from renewable energy were consumed. c) Natural gas consumption: 285,328,645 megajoules (79,258 million kWh); power consumption: 134,541,281 megajoules (37,372 million kWh). The reporting organisation shall disclose the following informatio: a. The extent of the reduction of energy consumption that was achieved as a direct result of initiatives for energy-saving and energy efficiency, in joules or their multiples. b. The energy types included in the reduction: fuel, electricity, heating, refrigeration, steam or all of these. c. The basis for calculating the reduction of the energy consumption, such as base year or basis/ reference, as well as the reasons for that choice. d. The standards, methodologies, estimates and/or calculation programmes used. a) Compared to 2016, the total power consumed by both works fell in 2017 by 1,212,828 kWh or by 3.14 %. In essence, the decrease resulted from the exchange of the old lighting and the installation of energy-efficient LED lights at the Bocholt works, which are used in the production rooms, the storage facilities, the offices and the staff car park. Thanks to this environmental measure, about 2,888,100 megajoules (802,250 kWh) are saved annually. b) Type of energy involved in the reduction: electricity c) The year 2016 is the basis for the comparison. A conversion to energy-efficient LED lighting took place in 2017. d) The basis is the economic efficiency calculation of the external electrotechnology company, according to which the LED lights have an energy input that is 92,853 watts lower than the old lights. In the case of uninterrupted use 360 days a year and 24 hours a day, the power savings amount to 802,249.92 kWh per year. Performance Indicator GRI SRS-303-3: Water extraction.
